A Toddler’s Christmas Gift Guide

Ever since Beckham was born I’ve been aloof as to what to buy him for Birthdays and Christmas. I mean, up until the 18 month mark he was basically a high functioning, adorable blob right? He would’ve been happy with a cat toy or my shampoo bottle for crying out loud! That’s why I am especially excited for Christmas this year. My boy is just over 2 and 1/2 and LOVES presents. He’s also developing quite the taste for certain toys (and a personality to go along with it).

Now that I am a parent, the gift of giving is truly all I need for Christmas. I absolutely LOVE watching Beckham open his gifts and play freely without a worry in the world!

I’ve decided to team up with Amazon and share a few special toys that we can’t wait to surprise Beckham with on Christmas morning! If any of you parents are still deciding on what to give your kids for Christmas, here are a few ideas!

The Step2 Lifestyle Custom Kitchen Play set has been on my mind for quite some time. I have tried very hard while raising Beckham to never limit his toys based on his gender. However,  it was difficult trying to find a gender neutral play kitchen that we could invest in and have for years to come. A simple trip to Walmart just didn’t cut it for this one! So I turned to Amazon and luckily they had a TON of kitchen play sets in a variety of colors! I was so happy!

screen-shot-2016-12-02-at-5-26-26-pmTravis and I finally decided on the Step2 Lifestyle Custom Kitchen Play set because it was basic enough for our budget, but the high quality made it worth a little investment! There
are definitely more deluxe play sets out there, but we didn’t feel the need for something that extravagant.

I’m so excited to see Beckham open his own little kitchen on Christmas morning! I wonder if he will make us breakfast?

Beckham’s soon-to-be kitchen didn’t come with much food, so we decided to purchase a separate bundle of food items that he could play with! The KidKraft Tasty Treats Play Food Set was only $20 bucks (with free shipping!) and includes 115 food items! I felt like it was a pretty good deal, and if we can manage to keep track of all those pieces, we could be using it for a very long time!

If you need some stocking stuffer ideas, books are always a great choice! Here are some cute, fun options that every child will enjoy!

Princess Jo And Her Super Cape– “Princess Jo and Her Super Cape is a fun and empowering series about a princess who also has super powers. In this specific book, Saving Mr. Turtle, she transforms from Princess Jo to Super Jo in order to come to the rescue of her beloved friend from the pond, Mr. Turtle. She goes on to save him from the precarious situation he found himself in and stresses the importance of helping others, and making them smile, to her readers. The series will go on to discover the different situations that Princess Jo finds herself in transforming her from Princess to Super heroine.”

The Wonderful Things You Will Be– “From brave and bold to creative and clever, Emily Winfield Martin’s rhythmic rhyme expresses all the loving things that parents think of when they look at their children. With beautiful, and sometimes humorous, illustrations, and a clever gatefold with kids in costumes, this is a book grown-ups will love reading over and over to kids—both young and old. A great gift for any occasion, but a special stand-out for baby showers, birthdays, and graduation. The Wonderful Things You Will Be has a loving and truthful message that will endure for lifetimes.”

How Do Dinosaurs Say Merry Christmas?– “From decorating the tree to wrapping presents, little dinosaurs love to celebrate Christmas-and everything about it. With ornaments on the branches and carolers singing at the door, the spirit of Christmas is finally here and filling the hearts of families everywhere. But when the stockings are hung on the chimney, and the cookies are left out for Santa, how can little dinosaurs go to sleep? It’s so exciting! How can they possibly calm down and behave?
Children will laugh out loud as dinosaurs secretly lick candy canes, take sneaky peeks at gifts, and disrupt the traditional family feast.”

I hope that you find the perfect gifts for your children this Christmas, but most importantly, enjoy time together as a family!

Happy Holidays!

XO Lindsay

  1. Love that play kitchen. I also got one for my oldest when he was a toddler. I haven’t heard of any of these books, so I’ll have to check them out. Always need to add to our library!
